piano chord
A♭sus2
A♭1B♭2E♭5
The third replaced by the second. Nothing in it decides between major and minor.
Written the other way round it is G♯sus2 — the same twelve keys on a piano, a different piece of notation.
What is true of it
A♭sus2 is A♭, B♭ and E♭ — 1, 2 and 5 counted from A♭.
These are also the notes of E♭sus4/A♭ and D♯sus4/A♭. Which name is right depends on what is underneath and what came before — the notes alone do not decide.
